 Aymerich Golf Club, the largest golf course network in Europe, takes a leap over the ocean and, as from this month, offers members the possibility of playing golf in the Mexican Caribbean. You can now enjoy important advantages at the recently opened Riviera Maya Golf Club. This new golf course, located in the Bahía Príncipe Riviera Maya residential complex, already operates an 18-hole professional course and another, 9 short hole course.
The Piñero Group is responsible for the creation of this project, which it plans to complete before spring 2011, by which time an additional nine, professional holes will have opened and the facilities will be functioning at full capacity. These include a clubhouse and ancillary sports and other facilities: swimming pools, spa, shops, bars and restaurants.
This golf course has been designed by the prestigious Robert Trent Jones II, who has worked on projects all over the world, from Canada to Australia, not to mention Spain (where he has done work on the Royal Puerta de Hierro course).
The golf facilities currently provide, in addition to the 27 holes already functioning, buggies fitted with GPS navigators, food and drink, practice ground and a hire service for golf clubs and shoes.

El Grupo Piñero es el responsable de la creación de este proyecto, que prevé culminar antes de la primavera de 2011, cuando se hayan abierto los otros nueve hoyos profesionales restantes y las instalaciones estén funcionando a pleno rendimiento, lo que incluye una casa club y equipamiento deportivo complementario: piscinas, spa, tiendas, bares y restaurantes.
Este campo ha sido diseñado por el prestigioso Robert Trent Jones II, que ha desarrollado proyectos en todo el mundo, desde Canadá a Australia, pasando por España (donde ha intervenido en el Real Club Puerta de Hierro).
Las instalaciones cuentan en estos momentos, además de con los 27 hoyos ya en funcionamiento, con facilidades como servicio de carritos con GPS, comida y bebida, cancha de prácticas y alquiler de palos y zapatos.
